We have zero control over how much the dumpsters weigh or what you put into them. We deliver the dumpster and empty the dumpster. There are multiple redundancy practices and agency oversight required to operate a landfill or transfer station. These records may be regularly audited for accuracy. Additionally, it is a legal requirement for all weight records to be maintained on file for a minimum period of time. The scales at the landfill or transfer stations are calibrated on a regular schedule and the person who operates the scale holds the designation of State certified “weight master”. They have multiple policies in place to ensure accuracy and integrity. They are also regulated by multiple state and local agencies. All landfill operations are heavily regulated…many times federally by the DOT and the EPA. We do not own the landfill and again, we have no influence or say regarding how much the materials in the dumpster weighed. The landfill charges our company based on the amount of weight we dispose of at their facility. This way, the landfill knows exactly how much weight was in your dumpster. The truck is weighed (on a large industrial scale) before it enters the facility and then again on the way out. Your dumpster was removed from your site and taken directly to the landfill for disposal. Please let us know what we could have done differently to ensure you didn't go over your weight limit? Budget Dumpster has zero influence over the weight of the debris in your dumpster. You simply exceeded your weight allowance. This is not an issue of poor customer service or negligence or any type of mistake on our end. No matter who you rented the dumpster from, the weight of the dumpster would have been the same and you would have incurred additional fees. With all due respect, you were fully aware and informed about the weight limit before engaging in the service.you simply exceeded that limit and were charged for the excess disposal that came from the landfill.
The weight limit is stated on our website, was clearly communicated to you on the phone, was noted in your confirmation email and also noted on your invoice. We're sorry you incurred an overweight charge however, you were FULLY aware of the weight limit before you rented the dumpster.
